August Employee Spotlight - Matt Haar

At AlphaGraphics Kansas City, our success is largely due to the members of our team being so dedicated to their career and serving our customers. Every month, we take a moment to recognize a member of the AlphaGraphics team. This month, we profile Matthew Haar, one of the owners of AlphaGraphics Kansas City.
Matt has been involved with AlphaGraphics since 2007 when he was asked by his uncle to relocate to and manage a branch in Arvada, CO. While working for AlphaGraphics 5280, Matt learned the ins and outs of running key equipment, managing staff, and the day to day operations of a busy center. Three years later, Matt and Haley purchased the Downtown Kansas City AlphaGraphics and returned to Haley’s hometown.
A typical day for Matt begins early. He reviews financials for the prior day before diving into his daily tasks. Between managing the accounting and financial operations of the business Matt works with customers and vendors. When the shop is really busy, he lends a helping hand on some of the larger projects in production. Matt always wants AGKC customers to know the team is genuinely interested in their projects, no matter the size or scope of the job.
Matt always thinks of his employees and customers first. He describes himself as caring and hard working, and is always concerned about the livelihood of his employees. In fact, to him this is the most challenging part of owning a business; knowing that his decisions can impact the lives of others. However, business ownership is still rewarding. Matt takes great pride in the growth of AlphaGraphics, and most importantly that he and his wife have achieved success together.
This all comes back to what Matthew finds most important in this world: family. Every day, he looks forward to spending time with and barbecuing for his wife and two daughters. Matthew and Haley are also expecting a third child this Fall!
