On June 10, 2019, Texas signed a state bill legalizing the sale of hemp products including CBD. Since then, the industry has exploded, allowing many opportunities for entrepreneurs like Dalton & Dillon Worley who own and operate four brands.
We caught up with the Worley brothers to discuss their CBD businesses and their experiences as a start-up business in a fast-paced industry.
Tell us about y’all. What is your background & how did your entrepreneurial spirit begin.

Our passion for entrepreneurialism started with our family. Growing up, our dad owned a print / advertisement company. We spent a few years working with our dad in the business, which is what really carved out our work ethic and desire to be entrepreneurs.
My brother [Dillion] and I love what we do and think that CBD/ Delta 8 fits our personalities almost too well. You could say we had a “higher" calling and we finally embarked on our mission to help everyone to #DoseDaily on CBD!
How did CBDism get started?
Like most people, our start arose from not knowing where our next meal was going to come from. The COVID-19 pandemic struck us hard. Our event staffing company, Rent A Prep, took a nose dive to $0 in revenue. Not knowing where to turn, we decided to clean windows and pressure wash in our neighborhood. We almost scaled the business but decided dependency on good weather and working outside all the time was not the business model for us. Great way to make quick cash though!
One day while riding to the next power washing job, the idea of starting a CBD company hit us. We see so many CBD stores opening up across Houston and thought it would be a great idea to start here then expand into Cannabis when it becomes legal.
We then started researching CBD and that is how CBDism started which officially launched on May 1! Everything about this industry fits our lifestyle of health and fitness. We have taken so much pride in crafting all elements of CBDism from the graphics to the websites and our award-winning formulations!
What are some of the biggest challenges you have encountered in your new venture?

Delta8 Pre Roll - Blueberry Yum Yum[/caption]
The learning curves of supply chain management, navigating in a fragile financial position and starting a new business during a global pandemic. It’s been insane! Fortunately, we have kept a pulse on how the pandemic has affected the United States, which in turn, has helped us to make decisions on which products we should give the green light to. Many people are facing additional stressors and looking for alternative ways to handle that stress. That’s why products like our Ansiety-X spray, Delta 8 Gummy and pre-roll products are hard to keep on the shelf with our partners.
What has been one of your most rewarding experiences thus far with CBDism?
The business partnerships and friendships we have made along the way. Not long ago one of the industry’s leaders called on us for a business opportunity. In a year’s time, we have gone from looking up to many of these leaders to now working side by side with them. This transition has been one of the most rewarding experiences and notable milestones in our journey.
In addition to this, we get great satisfaction from hearing real-life reviews from our customers on how CBD or Delta 8 has changed their life for the better!
How has CBD changed your life and what do you think the future holds for CBD in Texas?
Less stress!!! We feel like every day is truly a blessing. We attribute feeling less stress to the #DailyDosing of our products. Our goal is to transform the Texas landscape in the CBD / Cannabis space. After touring the landscape of Cannabis / CBD in California, Oregon & Colorado, we truly believe CBDism will lead the charge in our home state of Texas. We will continue to develop our four brands: CBDism, Delta 8 Pharma Grade, Rollo Hemp & Delta 8 Marketplace with the plan to go retail and create a dispensary experience that is greater than what is currently offered at stores like Cookies in Q3/Q4.
How do you approach your marketing strategy through packaging?
It is said you have 3 seconds to capture someone’s attention. We use a minimalistic style of design, allowing the product to do all the talking. Knowing we only have a small slot of time, we use attention value-added packaging techniques like Dynamic QR Codes, “How to Use” & recommended devices to use with our concentrates. It’s important to us that our customers are as educated as they can be when using our products.
How do you work with AlphaGraphics of West Houston to produce collateral?

AlphaGraphics has supported our business through their same-day delivery service and quick printing abilities. We have been able to scale our businesses quickly, in part, because of our partnership. Their ability to turn projects so quickly has allowed us to fill orders that much faster! We use AlphaGraphics of West Houston for product labels, cartridge cards, business cards, banners and everything print.
