My wife and I are getting our house ready to sell. Like every good homeowner, we are looking at those things that will cost the least and get us the biggest return. Now, while both Maria and I love vintage decorating, I'm pretty sure our bathroom faucets were actually from the 70's. The good news is that changing these out is a minor cost, and the job is simple and straightforward. I've also done it many times before, so what can go wrong?
After a trip to Lowe's and a few minutes of effort, smacking my forehead on the cabinet, and listening to my 2 yr old daughter say "Oh no! Daddy broke it!" I had everything ready to go. Minimal fuss, minimal effort and a huge improvement to the appearance of our townhouse. Time for my favorite snack. Yes, peanut butter and chocolate chip sandwiches. At this point my wife enters the home, sees me eating the sandwich and yells "What did you do?". I thought she was talking about my sandwich. She was actually talking about the rapidly spreading water stain on our ceiling. You see, I had forgotten to tighten one of the connectors completely and was steadily dripping water through the bottom of the cabinet. I hadn't even noticed it when I tested it. So what does this have to do with a mobile website?
Below I've included two QR codes- one of them will take you to a site you'll remember from my last blog, and the other will take you to my personal mobile site. Scan them both and see what a huge difference there is in ease of use and presentation. Now think about how often your customers are looking for your goods and services from a cell phone. It's probably alot more often than you would even consider. (If you are unfamiliar with how QR codes work, you can read the blog post
here to get all of the info you'll need).
There are two parallels to be drawn here:
1. A mobile web site is a simple, quick, and relatively inexpensive upgrade. They're pretty and easy to install.
2. Whether or not you realize it, without one you may have a leak in your customer engagement. I do it all the time. If I'm on my phone trying to find a piece of information on a site that isn't optimized for my phone, I'll generally look elsewhere. Chances are your customers do the same.Call us today and we'll get you taken care of! When it's all done, I'll even make you a peanut butter and chocolate chip sandwich if you'd like.
