With Spring finally being right around the corner, there’s no doubt that you are already thinking of ways you can avoid your Spring cleaning. But you shouldn't. Spring cleaning isn’t just about cleaning your space or decluttering objects that may have piled up somewhere, it’s also about cleaning out the effects that Winter may have had on you. Whether it was procrastinating starting something new until the weather was nicer, changing your look, finally emailing someone back, or just wanting to get a little organized. There’s little things you can do now to prepare yourself for it.
Create a list of things you may have put off or things you actually want to get done now. Lists may seem silly, after all, it’s just a piece of paper that you can throw away, but making a list can help keep you accountable. Plus, you can receive total satisfaction after you complete an item on your list which can motivate you into doing more.
You don’t have to do everything all at once, Rome wasn’t built in a day, right? It takes time. It’s important to allot certain times to get things done, if you know a task might take a few hours, make sure you have available time for it. You can even split the task up into days. For me, I like to take breaks. Breaks are important so you don’t overwhelm yourself trying to complete everything.
Ask for help. There’s nothing wrong with asking for help if you need it. But you have to recognize that you may need it too. Don’t be too stubborn thinking you can handle a task bigger than you. Reach out to friends, family, coworkers, or even your neighbors, they will get a helpers high from assisting you and you will accomplish your feat the right way.
