Living Coral makes a splash as Pantone's 2019 Color of the Year
Each year, the color experts at Pantone take a look for inspiration and trends across all spectrums of media, graphic design, print, technology, lifestyles, fashion, home and beauty to determine the Color of the Year for the following year.
This year they've chosen "Living Coral", or PMS 2435 for those of us in the print world. A rich and inviting color, it evokes warmth, comfort, playfulness and a sense of vibrant life and energy.
Last year Pantone picked "Ultra Violet", a rich, cool purple, as it's Color of the Year for 2018. Compared to years past, Living Coral is a big shift away from the richer jewel-toned colors of the past 3 years. It's interesting to think about how something as simple as color could impact and be impacted by the world around us.
