The team here at
AlphaGraphics- La Grange/Oak Brook have been remarkably busy the last few months, which is a great thing. Providing all our services to our customers during a trying time, we get excited when our customers give us a call and ask to help with new projects. We decided that we would like to showcase a recent project or a customer spotlight every month. For the month of May we are going to talking about a customer that we have been working with called
Beyond Hunger. When their team came to our sales rep Karen to help them brand a new service that would be rolling out in March, we knew that we could help them every step of the way.
Here's a little background on the mission of
Beyond Hunger:
"Beyond Hunger creates solutions to end hunger at every stage of life through our comprehensive programs, from feeding kids when school is out, to providing emergency food to families in need, and delivering groceries to homebound older adults. Our community partnerships help us identify pockets of hunger and meet the need together."
The Site Visit and Walk-Thru
The expansion of the new service of
Home Delivery is stationed out of a shared space that enables Beyond Hunger to provide more nutritious food options for the homebound individuals it serves in Oak Park and Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. They were starting with a blank slate which needed to be branded and welcoming to the dozens of volunteers that help gather the groceries in this mini grocery store set up. We walked through the space as they expressed their vision and then we collaborated on the perfect outcome and what materials could be used and installed.
The Services We Provided
As you enter the Home Delivery Space, you are welcomed with the vibrant Beyond Hunger
logo and then to the left, we lined the hallway with giant
canvases of pictures of the services and the volunteers. Once you enter the mini grocery store, you will see a bright orange cut
letter vinyl decal that "Welcomes" you to Home Delivery.

To hide boring windows of a storage room, we covered the entire
windows with their logo and mission statement.
To help volunteers know where their headed to find the right items, we installed hanging
chalkboard signs to direct.
Of course, you cannot forget about
outdoor signage. We installed a small logo decal to the outdoor entrance of the building and a "call to action" sign to an outdoor fence.
