3 Points to Remember When Working With Your Graphic Designer

From AlphaGraphics Hoover, Sales Rep, Caroline Baker:

I'm originally a graphic designer, and I still design when I get the chance. So today, I am going to share 3 quick tips. Maybe it will help make life a little easier for everyone.

#1 Please be patient. Creating design files takes time, and you are not our only customer (thankfully). This means it might take some time to get you files. If you need them by a certain date make sure to communicate this with your sales rep (your rep should also ask you).

#2 File type is important. If you are sending any type of file to be used in the design, it needs to be a vector file saved as a pdf. Don't worry, I know that probably makes zero sense. There are two types of files. One that uses pixels and one that uses points and paths (nerd talk). Photos use pixels. Vector files are the second one, and can be infinitely sized up. (maybe I'll do a separate post about this). For more information about File Types, visit our Resources/FAQs page

#3 Art is different to everyone. If you know what you want your design to look like, not only should you describe what you want, but I suggest looking up example to send to your designer. Most artist are visual people. Plus words like "clean, sleek, and modern" can be interpreted very differently based on the person.

I know this is just the tip of the iceberg, but I hope it helped a little. If you have any other questions you would like answered, just comment below!
