The Cause

Madelyn’s Fund helps families with costs related to a NICU stay and funeral expenses for those who have experienced the tragedy of infant loss. The Pink Bow Gala is their largest fundraising event of the year.

The Strategy

  • Raise more donations. A bow wall allowed attendees to purchase a bow in honor of a loved one and donate to Madelyn’s Fund. By creating an experience for attendees and a way to connect with loved ones, the bow wall made for an engaging donation opportunity. A live auction with physical and experiential gifts depicted through signage created another opportunity for continued donations.
  • Communicate the cause. Branded cubes with facts about the impacted families were stacked throughout the event. In addition, signage shared testimonials from families who received assistance.
  • Better recognize sponsors. With their logos displayed on signs and print materials, plus a special check-in table, sponsors were properly recognized for their generosity in supporting the event.
  • Make the event fun! Interactive signage like an on-trend “Barbie box” and a champagne display created photo-worthy experiences. Guests also received custom Madelyn’s Fund tumblers they can use time and time again, increasing brand recognition for the cause.

Madelyn’s Fund surpassed their fundraising goal by 8%, making the 6th annual Pink Bow Gala a record-breaking event!

The Cause

The American Humane Hero Dog Awards® honors hero dogs who have accomplished feats like helping law enforcement keep communities safe, beating the odds after their adoption from a shelter, and providing help for humans with disabilities. The annual gala is their biggest fundraising event.

The Strategy

  • Host the most elegant gala yet. A rebrand incorporated elements of the venue’s tropical location and 1920s origins, while tying in the classic American Humane Hero Dog Awards® branding. The theme was carried out in big signage and small details, presenting the brand at every touchpoint.
  • Make the dogs (and their owners) the stars. With a Hollywood-inspired red carpet and signage featuring the hero dogs, the dogs and their owners took center stage.
  • Increase awareness. Materials showcasing the hero dogs and the mission of the awards added an emotional element, reminding guests of the important difference the dogs have made.

The Results

The 13th annual Hero Dog Awards Gala was American Humane’s most elegant event yet, strengthening its brand and mission. The gala gave the hero dogs their deserved moment in the spotlight for all their hard work making communities safe, helping people with disabilities, and rescuing those in need. The Hollywood-inspired backdrops and floor graphics were a crowd-favorite and made for great photos.

The Cause

Best Buddies in Tennessee offers one-to-one friendship, integrated employment, and leadership development programs for individuals with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Their Friendship Walk is free and open to the public, allowing them to reach a wider audience with awareness of their important mission.

The Strategy

  • Expand community involvement. Every Door Direct Mail® and a digital advertising campaign reached new audiences to drive awareness of the event and its mission. Fun, tactile, and interactive signage at the event encouraged photo opportunities, perfect for sharing online.
  • Exceed fundraising goals. Signs adorning the venue described Best Buddies’ mission, explained how to help, and provided scannable donation links.
  • Enhance mission visibility. A mission-centric design displayed statistics and accomplishments to show attendees how their donation makes a difference.

The Results

The event raised over $200,000, breaking a fundraising record and making this year’s Friendship Walk the most successful yet. Social media interactions more than doubled, ensuring that Best Buddies’ message of inclusion reached a much wider audience than just the participants at the event.
